There are two kinds of payment gateways, Integrated and Manual gateways.
โ€‹
โ€‹Integrated refers to those that process payments automatically, such as:

  • Paymongo Credit Card (the most recommended)

  • Paymongo Gcash

  • Dragonpay/Dragonpay BDO

Manual refers to those, as the name suggests, have to be processed manually. This could be anything from Bank Deposits to COD.

Can I use my own payment gateways?

Yes you may, though this would require you to be owning the Shopify store as well. Please ask your Account Executive about the monthly rates for the ZAP E-Store services under this set up.

Can I use my own payment gateways AND Zapโ€™s?

No, you may only choose 1 type of set up.

Do all payment gateways support international payments?

No, currently only Paypal is capable of accepting international payments. If you have many customers that do this, then you may want to look into enabling Paypal as a payment gateway.

Do we need to enable credit card, COD, Dragonpay and PayPal?

No, you don't have enable them all but you have to choose at least 1 payment gateway.

Is there a limit to how many gateways I can enable?

Shopify allows 3 primary automatic payment gateways (PayPal, Paymaya, Paymongo, Dragonpay, GrabPay, etc. See list here )
โ€‹
You can also activate unlimited manual payment methods. Read more here.

When do transaction fees apply?

Transaction fees are applied when an order is settled using Shopifyโ€™s automatic payment gateways (discussed above). The formula is below:
โ€‹
[(cost of products - discounts) + tax + shipping charges] x rate

How can I avoid transaction fees?

Transaction fees don't apply for manual payment methods, which include cash on delivery (COD), bank deposits, checks, test orders, and draft orders marked as paid or pending.
