Can we have discount codes?
Yes, you can set up your discount codes via the discounts tab on the left-hand side of your Shopify backend. You may check out this guide for information on how to set up your discount codes.
Can we have automatic free shipping?
No, Shopify only allows for free shipping to be used on regular discount vouchers. (Code has to be entered manually by the customer upon checkout).
Can customers use multiple discount codes for one order?
No, at the moment Shopify only allows for one discount code to be used per order.
Is it possible to do 50% off for a specific category and the original and discounted price will be displayed on the website?
Yes, but the discounted price will have to be applied/entered manually per product.
Can I sell/give gift certificates to be used on our site?
Yes, you can create digital vouchers to sell or gift to your customers through your site. Using the Shopify backend go to Products > Gift Cards and choose the option you’d like to proceed with. For more information on how gift cards work, see this guide.
How does the system handle orders from customers who want to use their senior citizen card?
As of the moment, we do not have a way to verify if someone who orders online is a senior citizen.
