Best Practices when Booking a Rider

Sometimes, it takes a quite few minutes to book a rider. There are a few reasons for this:

1. It’s peak hour.

You may find that during some hours (like the lunch rush and dinner rush), it’s harder to get a rider instantly. This is to be expected as many merchants around the area also have orders. We recommend tapping Book a Rider earlier than usual when the rush hours roll around!

2. There are less riders out right now.

This may be due to a number of reasons, including but not limited to weather conditions that are hard to drive through, late or early hours, or holidays!

3. There aren’t any riders near you.

We recommend rebooking after a few minutes just to try again, in case a rider comes by!

So what can be done?

We recommend booking riders early.

We’ve found that booking riders around 15-20 minutes before the food is ready allows the riders buffer time to arrive at your store!

Sometimes, rebooking can help the app search and book a rider for you.

  • Tap on View Rider Booking Details

  • Tap Cancel Search

  • Go back to your order details and tap Book a Rider

You should be able to book a rider within a few minutes.
