First off, what even is an Android OS?

Android Operating System

The Android OS is a mobile operating system used for touchscreen devices. It determines how users interact with the device. Different operating system versions are developed based on the device's brand and if certain features need upgrades.

How do I figure out what my Android OS Version is?

Step 1

Open your device's Settings.

Step 2

Look for About Phone within the menu, and tap it. This can either be located at the top section of the settings menu, or at the very bottom.

Step 3

Tap on Software Info.

Step 4

Within Software Info, you should be able to find your OS Version shown under Android Version.

ℹ️ There are many Android Versions out there, but our In-Store Merchant App is only supported by Android Versions 5 to 11.
