Block Off Dates feature is a setting built in the Shopify Store to help you manage your orders in advance during peak seasons, holidays or emergencies. This setting can be configured for each location, both for store pickup and delivery orders.
How do I block off dates for a branch location?
Step 1: Log into your Shopify Store and go to Apps > Locations.
Step 2: Select the location you would like to block off dates.
Step 3: Make sure that Store pickup and Delivery is enabled for the location.
Step 4: In the Store pickup and Delivery section, below the enable/disable setting, you will see the BLOCK OFF DATES section.
Step 5: In the date picker, select certain dates of the year that you need to block off. You can block off the days starting from the date tomorrow moving forward. Click Block off dates to proceed.
Step 6: The selected days to be blocked off will then appear as a checkbox list. Remember to hit save for this setting to take effect.
Step 7: In your storefront cart widget, you can now see the blocked off dates if it falls within the current week period. The dropdown to select date for pickup can only show the days within a week period starting from the current date.
How do I remove certain dates in the blocked off dates list?
You can select the days you want to remove in bulk:
Step 1: In the BLOCK OFF DATES section, select the days you want to remove. As you select more days, the header of the checkbox list will also update.
Step 2: Click Remove. This will remove the days in the checkbox list. Remember to hit save to update the list of blocked off dates.
What happens if the blocked off dates have lapsed?
Once the blocked off dates have lapsed, it will automatically be removed on the blocked off dates list.
